Louisville company excited about local prosthetic woman meeting with President Obama

Louisville, KY – June 22, 2012 – Kentucky Prosthetics & Orthotics, Inc. recently fit tornado victim Stephanie Decker with the Genium™ Bionic Prosthetic System and Harmony Triton System for her bilateral amputations. Stephanie is heading to Washington DC on June 29th to have lunch with President Obama and his family. Stephanie will have the opportunity to discuss several points of interest about prosthetics.

About Stephanie Decker

Stephanie is a national hero. On March 2, her life was devastated when an F3 tornado hit her home, while she was protecting her two young children, resulting in the collapse of her home which caused catastrophic injuries and the amputation of both of her legs. She may have had a horrific accident but yet she has not lost the resolve to fight for her independence. Three short months later she is back up and walking on her prosthetic devices; freely without assistive devices, thanks to the new Genium Bionic knee and Harmony Prosthetic System.

Stephanie is an inspiration to all with her resolve to fight for what she needs and to work so hard to recover.
